Busing Program Impact on Suburbs

Busing was major in exposing the LA gang culture to the Suburbs. I remember waiting for the LA buses to arrive in the mornings to kick it with kids from different hoods in LA. It was the early 80s, junior high. They introduced to starter jackets, fake Louis Viutton wallets and matching belts.They would go on and transition over to Monroe, Taft,Reseda,Birmingham,Canoga, Van Nuys etc for high school. Sadly, many of my friends went on to the Pen, or RIP.
